A Real Slice...

So as some of you know,about three weeks ago,I cut my finger on a mandolin. I didn't have any bandages,so I pinched my thumb and forefinger together for pressure to help staunch the bleeding,and when I finally arrived at Walmart,the blood hadn't stopped. It was pouring just as bad as I tried to bandage the skin together and I bled all over the sink the the stall. I did tidy up after myself,it looked like a murder scene otherwise,lol. Back in my studio, it took until about eleven thirty to stop the bleeding. If it didn't stop bleeding I would go to the hospital. Luckily,it stopped and I worked my whole shift the following day with e severed skin attached to my thumb and secured with double bandages and three gloves on the hand in question. So after talking to my coworkers,I bit the bullet and went to the emergency room. I checked in fine and waited for about twenty-five minutes before the nurse came in. She asked me what happened and after I relayed the events of the night before,she asked me to removed my bandages,after remarking how good I had my thumb bandaged. She then left shortly after,and I noticed the skin had shifted and the top of my thumb was pale and the skin was healing itself. Mind you, I arrived at five thirty. The incident occurred around eight thirty the night before. Please keep this in mind. The doctor's assistant came in and said that it had been exposed too long,which it hadn't (I was double bandaged and wearing a glove the whole day) and that infection would set in. I informed him that it's been covered the whole time and he stated again that "it was exposed so..." like my words meant nothing. He then pulls off the severed skin and man,it hurt. My thumb was weeping a bit afterwards. Them I was given a tetanus shot and a bill for...get this...$269.25 for a tetanus shot and for you to tell me there is nothing you can do? SERIOUSLY??? I walked back to the bus stop with my thumb aching and it didn't stop aching for two days,because of him peeling off the skin. I should've NEVER WENT.

UPDATE: My thumb has healed,although if I tap it at just the right angle,it would ache at first,but not so much now. I'm going to call advent health and see if they can take the money out of my HSA to pay for the bill. I still can't believe how ridiculous that whole scenario was...until last week,a new contender showed itself...

You've Got Mail...

It was not without incident.I'm actually grateful that my storage payment didn't go through. It made things all that much faster. So you all know how I was struggling to get my mail,due to someone playing games and thinking I am too stupid to notice. I had (and still haven't seen) said person since Mid to late September. There was always an excuse as to why she couldn't meet with me. First she made other plans,or she wasn't feeling well or I was plain ignored. I always told her "You pick the place,you pick the time,and I will be there." LITERALLY. She would say her suv was stating to look like an Amazon truck and we should meet up to get my mail. I then would reply(all of these conversations would happen over messenger btw) Tell me where and when and I will pick it up. Then she wouldn't say again until the next package showed up and click and repeat. So sometime in the fall she asked me for tickets to let two people she knew into the park. Now,I am solely responsible for ANYONE entering WDW property on my name with MY tickets,as is EVERY cast member. The rules nowadays even state that the cast member has to be present with their guests and play baby-sitter due to a bunch of events I am not privy to. That being said,I said no. Or to be specific,"I do not let in people that I don't know." It doesn't matter whether you think that are cool or because they are older it's fine. It never occurred to her that she DID NOT have the right to tell people anything about my tickets and expose me to an unnecessary risk. So she started to act strange, and would ignore me and it all culminated last weekend. After switching tactics to get her to talk to me,basically talking about things non related to the mail. It worked. I had no access to my new debit card. I had late charges for my storage unit for two months because I couldn't access my money because my new card was in the mail. So I paid through my account and was told on the confirmation page it would go through on the eighth...it didn't. So I had to get money from Walmart but to do this I had to use my expired card,which caused me to get a message from the bank asking if I was making this claim,due to thinking this was fraudulent activity. So I sent her a message,trying to get the card sooner,when she said she could do Saturday or Sunday because Saturday I was out too late and Sunday she probably had to do things with her mom. I repected that and said okay, I will have everything ready tomorrow(this conversation was on Friday mind you) to pick up everything and then said okay the fourteenth or fifteenth I can pick it up(knowing that my unit will be double locked on the fifteenth be she gave me no choice but to try.) She said that I made it sound urgent and then I offer to pick it up on the fifteenth. To which I replied you said you weren't available on the days that I said, even the evenings, where I have the time. So Saturday rolls around and I tell her I will be there after work and the like and she says I said Sunday and can't keep changing everything because her weekends are busy now. Uh...like.mine AREN'T??? She then suggests Ubering over to her place and I had asked several times to Uber to her place and go no response and I mentioned this. I will not go where I have not been given permission to come over. She and I went back and forth and then she accused me of insulting her when she asked for tickets for aforementioned couple,by saying I only let in people I know,never offering gas money,not thanking her,etc. All of which is a lie. She only gave me my mail ONCE. I rode with her a handful of times,not many. She is the one who insulted me when she said that she wouldn't adopt a black child. YES,YOU READ THAT RIGHT. How she ignored me for almost a year,kept my mail in the back of her SUV,had the audacity to ask me.if she could stay the night at my Disney hotel,when she KNEW I had only said one person,caused me financial issues for two months,among other things and she wants to act all innocent? Everything is NOT MY FUCKING FAULT!!!! So luckily my friend/coworker Sky was nice to take me by her place to pick up my mail and guess who ignored my texts the entire time? SI checked and everything was there thank the goddess. I changed the mailing address as well to my coworker/trainer Maribel. I have known her for over a decade. She doesn't bullshit people. I also have a P.O. Box in my near future and I hope that the gods will be kind. I have had enough of younger people and people in general who refuse.to own their shit. NEVER. AGAIN.
